1:00 pm Lynnette Owens and student’s
Lynnette Owens, known as "Lyrical Lynnette," is a true professional Opera Singer.
She has just returned from Rome, Italy where she sang the role of Mimi in La Bohème -
her second leading role with Rome Festival. She has soloed in NY's Carnegie Hall,
had leading operatic roles in Rome, Italy, she has performed in Switzerland, in
Philadelphia, in Des Moines, in Salt Lake City, Logan just to name a few places.
She is an excellent musician and a fine pianist. And she is a successful and beloved
voice teacher. She is a Staff Member for Rome Festival and it is through her that students in Utah will be able to take advantage of Rome Festival.

Alice Cipollini, an Ogden resident, is thrilled to be returning to Ferragosto for the
second year, mostly because it celebrates her Italian heritage of which she is so very
proud. Alice has a degree in music and is proficient at many instruments; however the
accordion is her favorite instrument. She knows you will enjoy her accordion selections
of both tradional and contemporary Italian favorites.

6:00 pm Salt Lake Children's Choir
The choir has performed with numerous celebrated artists, including Marvin Hamlisch,
Frederica von Stade, Pete Seeger, Grant Johannesen, Kevin Kenner, Igor and Vesna Gruppman,
Kurt Bestor, Sam Cardon, and jazz musicians Steve Keen, and Lars Yorgason and has recorded with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Utah Symphony (having also performed with these organizations on other occasions). It has been heard on American Public
Radio and Public Radio International and its singers have sung for CNN, CBS, NBC (including a ten part mini-series to be aired this season) and Walt Disney Productions. The choir's first commercial compact disc, "Beside Thy Cradle," (Christmas) was released in 1995 and a second, "A Day in Spring," in June 2000. Both were recorded in Abravanel Hall

Cary Hobbs, vocalist and mandolinist, Robert Daniels, drummer, and Jonathan Pace on bass. They last performed for festival in 2006, but the group is also known as “The Bavarians” and have been a mainstay at Snowbird’s Oktoberfest for many years. When they perform at our Italian event,
they use an appropriate Italian name.
